SiteGround has added a new controlled Easy Digital Downloads (EDD) hosting product to its internet hosting portfolio (opens in a new tab) to offer a faster solution for building ecommerce platforms (opens in new tab).
The new hosting solution stems from a partnership between SiteGround (opens in new window) and software company Awesome Motive, which combines SiteGround hosting with Easy Digital Downloads’ ecommerce functionality.
Some of the features included in the new EDD solution are Controlled WordPress (opens in a new tab), loose SSL (opens in a new tab), and a WordPress theme (opens in a new tab) (Vendd).
SiteGround’s EDD hosting plans range from $2. 99 per month for a to $7. 99 per month for an unlimited number of emails.
It also comes with an all-in-one search engine optimization plugin (opens in a new tab), MonsterInsights, the WPForms plugin, and OptinMonster.

The Easy Digital Downloads plugin comes pre-installed and is located on the SiteGround dashboard when users sign up for the service. It also allows users to settle for Stripe, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and PayPal credit card invoices.
The solution also allows users to create and manage reduction and promotion codes, and set automatic start and end dates for campaigns.
