A grocery store and a high-end dining room have reduced their activity in the center of the village.
Macknade Fine Foods has particularly reduced the length of its store in the progression of Elwick Place in Ashford, which opened shortly before closing in 2020.
The company, which also has a store in Faversham, says it will now have a smaller food diversity and its restaurant.
No jobs will be lost as a result of the changes.
Shane Godwin, Managing Director of Macknade, said: “We have taken the opportunity to return our Ashford area to its original design and design, allowing us to return to our core cold cuts and catering offering. Array
“Our purpose is to create a café and place to eat that showcases the most productive quality products, as well as an obviously explained classic delicatessen offering cheese, bloodless cuts, wine and a diversity of edibles that showcase our heritage from Kent and Italy.

This comes as the company has to “pause” its plans to open a new place to eat and a grocery store with capacity for 120 people in the arm of the port of Folkestone.
Earlier this year, he announced that the company would embark on the expansion of Harborside.
Announcing the resolution to halt expansion, Godwin said: “Given the challenging economic climate in which we are negotiating, it is prudent to ensure the stability of our core business in Faversham and Ashford this year and we will review everything to be had spaces in Harbor Arm in 2023. “
Ashford City Council, which owns Elwick Place, declined to comment on the long-term of the unit that was launched through Macknade.
The site was formerly home to the Ashford International Model Railway Education Centre.
