LAFAYETTE, Ind. − Greater Lafayette continues its attack on cancer, with an event planned later this month.
Relay for Life of Tippecanoe County will be held from 3 to 9 p.m. Sept. 10 at the Tippecanoe County Fairgrounds.
Relay For Life is a movement dedicated to helping “communities attack cancer…Through funds donated, time given, or awareness raised, our communities are teaming up – virtually or in person – to make a difference,” according to its website.
A pre-relay “Cruise In Car” show will take place noon to 4 p.m. Saturday. The Cancer Survivor Ceremony and lap will be at 5:30 p.m and the Luminaria Ceremony and lap will be held at 8:30 p.m.
Entertainment at Saturday’s event will come in the form of live music including dancing and choir performances, a dunk tank, a selfie lap, meet-a-new-friend lap and other themed laps.
WoJo & MoJo’s Grilled Cheese and More food truck will be available from noon to 6 p.m.
