A new strike is planned at Budweiser after rejecting the company’s most recent wage offer, Budwesier Brewing Group (BBG).

A total of 275 GMB members working at BBG in Samlesbury, near Preston, will retire the equipment from 22 to 29 August.

In total, 93% of GMB members rejected Budweiser’s offer.

Gmb organiser Stephen Boden said: “We do not believe that Budweiser has a genuine preference for this dispute.

“It is shameful that they cancel an assembly the day before our appointment for no reason.

“As a result, we will continue with a series of closures for 8 days, impacting all departments and on site.

Departure begins at 07:00 hours on Monday, August 22 and continues until 19:00 hours on Monday, August 29, with additional stops scheduled for September.

“They continue to forget about staff and put benefits before other people with this measly salary offer. The workers are rightly angry.

“But it’s not too late for the control to pay attention to the staff and come back to the table with us to find a fair deal. “

GMB members went on strike for the first time on June 6, the first time staff at the Samlesbury site, which makes Budweiser, Stella Artois, Becks, Boddingtons and Export Pale Ale, have gone on strike in its 50-year history.

A spokesperson for Budweiser Brewing Group said: “Budweiser Brewing Group has a positive and long-standing relationship with GMB, but despite open negotiations, GMB has shown commercial action at our Samlesbury brewery. appropriate end results and have spared no effort to manage the negotiations in the most productive manner.
