USA Gymnastics will abort the legislation when deciding on the venues of the competitions.
USA Gymnastics President Li Li Leung said Wednesday that there is no doubt that abortion legislation will play a role in choosing a state to host occasions such as the U. S. championships.
“We need to be aligned with cities and selling options that are also aligned with our pricing system,” Leung said.
The 2022 EE. UU. de Gymnastics Championships were awarded in Tampa, Florida, in January, months before the Supreme Court overturned Roe’s opposition to Wade. Following this decision, Florida banned abortion after 15 weeks of pregnancy, with exceptions.
Leung said the Supreme Court ruling “eliminates” the organization’s system.
“We are in empowerment. We are in the choice. We’re over the agency,” Leung said.
