A Ukrainian official admitted that there were explosions in the country in the annexed province of Crimea over the past week.

The new commander of the Russian Black Sea has been appointed Viktor Sokolov.

The Russians closed a key bridge into Crimea and fled for fear of an attack, according to Ukrainian reports.

The ministry said: “Dzhankoi and Gvardeyskoye are home to two of the main airfields of the Russian army in Crimea.
“Dzhankoi is also a key road and rail crossing that plays a role in supplying Russia’s operations in southern Ukraine. “
