Pennsylvania reported fewer coronavirus cases in the week ending Sunday, adding 17,390 new cases. That’s down 28. 4 percent from last week’s tally of 24,281 new cases of the virus that causes COVID-19.
Pennsylvania ranked 33rd among the states where the coronavirus spread the fastest, according to a study by Johns Hopkins University’s USA TODAY data network. beyond the week, with 654,873 cases reported. With 3. 85 percent of the nation’s population, Pennsylvania recorded 2. 66 percent of the nation’s cases last week. Nationwide, 16 states had more cases in the past week than in the past week.
Johns Hopkins University received information about an erratic pennsylvania calendar, which distorted week-to-week comparisons.
Lawrence County has reported 151 and 3 deaths in the past week. A week earlier, it had reported 218 and 3 deaths. During the pandemic, it has reported 20,987 and 436 deaths.
Beaver County has reported 200 cases and two deaths in the past week. A week earlier, it had reported 417 cases and 3 deaths. During the pandemic, it has reported 44,854 cases and 771 deaths.
In Pennsylvania, cases fell in 60 counties, with the most productive declines in Allegheny County, with 1966 cases compared to 3198 the previous week; in the county, with 715 out of 1208 instances; and Westmoreland County, with 609 out of 999 instances.

“In Pennsylvania, the worst weekly outbreaks according to the user occurred in Fayette County with 312 cases according to 100,000 according to the week; Greene County with 282 and Cambria County with 227. The Centers for Disease Control says the highest levels of network transmission start with a hundred instances consistent with one hundred, 000 consistent with the week.
Philadelphia County, with 2054 instances, added the maximum number of new instances overall; Allegheny County, with 1966 instances; and the county, with 715. The highest number of weekly instances in seven counties since last week. Last week’s worst speed increases occurred in Philadelphia, Warren and McKean counties.
In Pennsylvania, another 82 people were reported to have died from COVID-19 in the week ending Sunday. Last week, another 140 people died.
A total of another 3,167,638 people in Pennsylvania have tested positive for the coronavirus since the pandemic began, and another 46,596 people have died from the disease, according to data from Johns Hopkins University. In the United States, another 94,190,979 people tested positive and another 1,043,840 people died.
