Confirmed COVID-19 infections fell in the state and county of Davidson last week, according to the latest knowledge from the Tennessee Department of Health.
On Saturday, the seven-day average of cases in Tennessee was 2,689, up from 2,888 the previous week, the branch reported. Davidson County’s seven-day average was 219 on Saturday, up from 235. 4 percent.
Despite this, the number of patients hospitalized with COVID-19 increased during the week. According to the department, there are now 804 of those patients, up from 752 last week.
Tennessee reported a modest increase in the percentage of other people who tested positive for COVID-19.
Statewide, the percentage is 30. 1 percent, up from 29. 57 percent last week. Davidson County’s check positivity rate was down 26. 6% on Saturday from 26. 8% the previous week.

State public fitness agencies have counted more than 2. 2 million cases of COVID-19 in Tennessee since the start of the pandemic. Statewide, another 27,030 people have died from the new coronavirus.
About 55. 1 percent of Tennians have been vaccinated against COVID-19, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The national average is 67. 2%.
