Ukrainian resistance forces have known the Black Sea city as a key battlefield to oppose the course of the Russian invasion. The Antonovsky Bridge, a key source address in the city used by the Russians, was bombed and destroyed by Ukrainian forces last month.
An adviser to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky dealt a “powerful blow” to Vladimir Putin’s forces.
Zelensky himself said Ukrainian forces were advancing “step by step” in the occupied region.
On Monday, Serhiy Khlan of the Kherson Regional Military Administration told Ukrainian television that resistance forces attacked a Russian warehouse in the Black Sea city of Skadovsk over the weekend.
Khlan said: “Another depot of ammunition and military equipment, which was brought through the enemy of Crimea, was destroyed on the outskirts of Skadovsk. “
He added: “There is a huge amount of fuel and lubricants, as well as engineering equipment, that they are now transporting from Crimea to repair the logistics arteries that were broken through our armed forces. “

Khlan described the scale of the chimney that exploded in Skadovsk after the strike, after social media allegedly connected to the strike showed a giant chimney over the weekend.

Khlan made special reference to THE HIMARS, or high-mobility artillery rocket systems, across the United States, now operational in Kherson Oblast.
He said: “The turning point of the army’s operations in the direction of Kherson took position more than two weeks ago. Thanks to HIMARS, thanks to which we began to destroy deposits in the rear positions of the enemy. “
HIMARS played a prominent role in Kherson’s recovery.
The city is one of the first victories of the invading Russian forces in March.
Khlan has in the past committed Ukrainian forces to retake the southern oblast until late summer.
He said last month that a “tipping point” had been reached and that the region “will be definitively liberated until September. “
He added: “We see our armed forces going forward openly.
“We can say that we are moving from defensive moves to counteroffensive moves. “
