CHELMSFORD, Mass. , July 27, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — Azenta, Inc. (Nasdaq: AZTA) announced the opening of its new China headquarters in Suzhou, which serves as Azenta’s hub in the Asia-Pacific region.
The allocation is the largest capital investment to date for Azenta and includes more than 200,000 square feet of laboratories and offices. The new facility consolidates the rented spaces into a single facility and particularly expands the capacity of Azenta’s laboratories in China.
“This strategic investment allows consumers to drive the progression of healing products in the market. Our new Suzhou facility brings functions closer to our consumers in China and Asia Pacific, while enabling the delivery of effective and quality genomic facilities around the world,” said Linda De Jesus, Senior Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer.
More than 800 painters from Azenta will paint on the new construction, which includes smart environmental controls that are important for high-quality laboratory operations. The building also houses Azenta’s largest center for genomics along with knowledge control capabilities and high-performance computing.
