Donald Trump Jr. joined the refrain of his father’s allies in claiming that the Committee’s Jan. 6 witness, Cassidy Hutchinson, fabricated his testimony.
The former president’s eldest son went further, calling former aide to President Donald Trump’s White House leader Mark Meadows a “coffee girl. “
He also accused her of committing perjury, with respect to claims circulating and in the right-wing media that Secret Service agents and former White House officials are willing to testify that Ms. Hutchinson made false affidavits.
Mr. Trump Jr. posted on Truth Social: “It’s quite amazing to see CNN around the world claim that there are several genuine witnesses willing to testify that the false testimony they are salivating from is manifestly not wrong and that the woman of their dreams/coffee the witness has committed perjury!”
Her father also went to his social media platform and reposted a “truth” through right-wing activist Jack Posobiec that says, “Several sources, adding one that at the WH on January 6, tell me that Cipollone is not there in the morning when Hutchinson testified that she was talking to him. J6 Cmtes is aware of this discrepancy and ignores the demands of the media on this issue. It seems that she invented total conversation.
The former president added: “His total story was fabricated, adding the fact that I looked for weapons to have status around me, my speech. Who would need that?”
Mr. Trump referred to Ms. Hutchinson’s testimony that he sought out armed supporters to be allowed to participate in his rally before the Capitol insurrection calling for the removal of magnetometers.
“They are not here to hurt me. Remove the [f *** ing] magazines. Let my other friends in. They can walk to the Capitol from here,” Hutchinson recalls, recalling the president.
