CHILLICOTHE – The Adena Health System has opened its premises with its chillicothe emergency service at the moment.

Adena held a ribbon tuesday to celebrate its new emergency care center at 1470 N. Bridge St.

The 6,400-square-foot facility, located in the small Caesars formed, stores the area with Rural King and provides acute care for ailments such as flu, colds, cough, strep throat and more, COVID-19 testing, athletic physicals, X-rayArray outpatient lab and more.

This is Adena’s sixth emergency solution and Chillicothe’s current emergency solution, after the Western Avenue location. Kathy Edrington, chief operating officer of Adena Health System, said the medical center has become too large for its first location.

“Adena has focused on caring about our communities we serve and our Western Avenue location has noticed more than 77,000 patients a year,” Edrington said. “It is very important that we open this site so that our communities have emergency care in the north. “

Chief Medical Officer Dane Black said Adena has opened three emergency care services in the past two years. He said the new facility will ease tension at the Western Avenue location and offer a more convenient hub for residents of north Chillicothe.

“Adena is all about the network and Bridge Street is, in fact, the cornerstone and connection to our network and our hospital,” Black said. Our project with that is to keep the tension in the emergency room, especially for non-emergency visits. “

Jeff Graham, president and CEO of Adena, said the new location has 8 examination rooms, as well as diagnostic and laboratory services. Black said that lately the center is about 1/8 of the available space, so there’s plenty of room for expansion. if necessary.

Emergency rooms officially opened their doors on Wednesday. Bridge Street Emergency Care will be open from 9 a. m. 9 p. m. m. y Western Avenue will replace its 8 a. m schedule. at 8 p. m.
