These are some of the data that the Secretary of State publishes on a new online page aimed at building confidence in state elections.
The “Rumor vs. Reality” describes a series of facts about the state’s electoral formula to combat disinformation.
He said who is voted for is secret, that independent post-election audits are mandatory and that the state uses ballots marked by voters, making sure there is a paper trial in case of dispute.
The machines that count votes are not connected to a computer network or the Internet, a procedure known as an “air breach” to make sure they were hacked, the site says.

Its publication comes after Donald Trump and his supporters lied about the 2020 election. An Associated Press investigation last year uncovered no broad and coordinated voter fraud.
DON’T WAIT: By law, Thursday is the last day to request a vote by mail for election number one. Saturday is the last day to vote in advance.
Election Day is Tuesday, when polling stations are open from 7 a. m. m. a 7 p. m.
