Host Student Housing Management Limited and McKay Limited have submitted plans with jmarchitect designs to Edinburgh City Council for the upcoming Murrayfield Stadium.

It offers a combination of accommodation types, adding studios and apartments grouped into five-, six- and eight-bedroom formats.

The application site is at 36-44 Westfield Road with the building, an existing stone cottage and showroom.

The candidate said, “Host offers all-inclusive, hassle-free student accommodation and provides academics with a welcoming, reassuring and relaxing experience at the university or faculty. “

He said the developable domain is limited through HSE consultation spaces centered on the adjacent Mcfarlan Smith site.

The apartments will also have non-unusual amenities, such as an examination area, a resident living room, a concierge, and a reception.

There will also be landscape services domains, a lawn domain overlooking Westfield Road, and 289 bicycle parking spaces for each student for whom accommodation is provided.
