Utah COVID-19 measures are ramping up, state reports say, as fitness officials insist the pandemic is over

According to the Department of Environmental Quality, coronavirus levels are peak or emerging at 66. 7% of the 32 wastewater reporting sites statewide.

The Department of Health also removed one death from its overall count, bringing the total number of COVID-19 deaths in Utah to 4761 since the pandemic began, one more than last week.

Hospitalizations reported last week • 100. Il there were 77 patients hospitalized Thursday, 12 in intensive care, one more than last week.

Percentage of positive checks • Counting all check results, adding up repeated checks from the same individual, this week’s rate is 12. 15%. This is more than the average of the last seven days of 9. 79%.

Not counting the effects of an individual’s repeated testing, this week’s rate is 15. 4%, higher than the seven-day average of 12. 94%.

Totals to date • 938,864 cases; 4,761 deaths; 34,447 hospitalizations.
