BEIJING, April 26 (Xinhua) — China’s National Cultural Heritage Administration on Tuesday called for greater coverage of excessive weather for cultural artifacts and ancient sites.
The cultural heritage government and museums across the country monitor excessive weather situations and respond in a timely manner, management said in an emergency notice.
Old buildings and affiliated museums, as well as heritage conservation and excavation sites, should be checked for potential risks, the report says.
He also called for reactive and material measures to deal with damage to buildings and the fall of old and traditionally significant trees.
