Here’s what will happen this week if you want to spend a fun night in El Paso County.
Ricardo Arjona: Guatemalan singer-songwriter Ricardo Arjona will offer his Black and White tour in El Paso on April 1 at the Don Haskins Center. Tickets, ranging from $54 to $95, can be obtained at https://www. ticketmaster. com/
Art at the service of the homeless: from 6 p. m. a 11 p. m. On Fridays and Saturdays, Manfred Strobach organizes a solo exhibition, “Doodles For Hunger,” at Amano Artist Co-op, 210 Poplar St. (https://www. instagram . com/amano_collective/), with the goal of raising budget to purchase 50 backpacks and fill them with essentials for the homeless community. There will be a random draw of one of his works and other works through him will be on sale. . There is a minimum donation of $5. Music visitors will perform. Earth Day Pet Adoptions: Free 9-year-old cat adoptions. m. a 5 p. m. Fridays and Saturdays at El Paso Zoo and Botanical Gardens, 4001 Paisano Drive.
Mobile puppy adoptions from 10 a. m. to 2 p. m. Saturday at the Municipal Service Center, 7968 São Paulo Drive.
Free adoptions of all animals from 11 to 18 h. De Friday through Sunday at the Animal Services Center, 5001 Fred Wilson Avenue.

Trinity Site: White Sands Missile Range will open Trinity Site to the public on Saturday. Trinity Site is where the world’s first atomic bomb was tested at 5:29 am on July 16, 1945. Stallion Gate will be open from 8 a. m. to 2 p. m. Visitors arriving at the gate between those hours will be allowed to drive unescorted the 17 miles to the Trinity site. The road is paved and marked.
It closes at 3:30 p. m. Sharpening. Due to the conversion of cases around COVID-19 restrictions, no evidence of vaccination or reservations is required to attend, according to a press release. Free.
Directions: Exit I-25 at mile marker 139 (San Antonio, New Mexico) and head 12 miles east or exit U. S. Highway 54 on U. S. Highway 380 and head west for 53 miles from Carrizozo, NM Turn south on New Mexico State Highway 525 and head miles south to Stallion Gate.
Downtown Farmers Market: The downtown El Paso Artists and Farmers Market, which offers homemade crafts and regional produce, is open from nine years. m. a 1 p. m. Saturdays at 117 Anthony St.
