Rieter completes acquisition of three Saurer companies

WINTERTHUR, Switzerland — April 1, 2022 — With the resumption of the automatic winding business in Uebach-Palenberg/Germany effective April 1, 2022, Rieter has completed the acquisition of the 3 Saurer businesses.

The acquisition of the automatic winding generation in the premium category complements Rieter’s compact ring-spinning formula and thus lays the foundation for editing the company’s position of strength in the largest segment of the staple fiber market. .

The components business Accotex parts (generation of elastomers for spinning machines) in Münster/Germany and Temco (generation of parts for filament machines) in Hammelburg/Germany had already been acquired through Rieter on 1 December 2021.

Rieter announced the acquisition of 3 on August 16, 2021.

In total, the 3 achieved a turnover of 142 million euros in 2020, the year of the COVID crisis. In 2019 and 2018, total sales amounted to €235 million and €260 million, respectively.

The winding with new machines will be in charge of the Máquinas Business Group
