(RTTNews) – Mitsubishi Electric Corp. announced that it has acquired 42,000 square meters of land in the city of Owariasahi, Aichi Prefecture, Japan, to identify a new production site for the manufacture of factory automation formula products starting in April 2025.
The company will invest about thirteen billion yen or about $110 million to identify new production in the city of Owariasahi, neighboring Nagoya, where its main factory automation production, Array Nagoya Works, is located.
The company noted that the new plant will use several state-of-the-art technologies, such as 5G communication, which will allow the simultaneous connection of various machines, human personnel and automatic guided vehicles (AGVs) when performing their production tasks.
