In recent days, the Russian president sent his circle of relatives to protection in Siberia, he said. Professor Valery Solovey, 61, a former professor at the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO), made outlandish statements this week.
Professor Solovey is known for his colorful predictions and claims, claiming in the past that Putin suffered from a secret illness hidden from the public.
Many described the professor as a conspiracy theorist or a hoax.
But last week, he was interrogated for seven hours by the Russian government because of allegations he made about Putin’s medical and intellectual condition on a Telegram site he operates, according to the Daily Mail.
His latest claim comes as Russia launches an all-out missile attack on Ukraine’s second-largest city, Kharkiv, while a long convoy of Russian army cars descends on the capital, Kiev.
In a video shared via East2West, Professor Solovey said: “Last weekend, President Putin’s circle of relatives was evacuated to a special bunker prepared in the event of a nuclear war.
“This bunker is in the [mountainous] Altai Republic.
“In fact, it is a bunker, but a totally underground city, equipped with the latest clinical and technological advances.
“I hope this is something for you?

It is believed to refer to a vast mountainous space built through the majority public energy company Gazprom a decade ago.
It is in the Ongudaysky District of the Altai Republic, a region of Siberia bordering Mongolia, China and Kazakhstan.
According to the Mail, observers noticed “several spots” on the grounds surrounding the hideout.
There is also said to be a high-voltage line connected to a modern 110-kilovolt substation, enough to force a small village.

Professor Solovey did not identify any of the members of Putin’s circle of relatives who he said went to the bunker.
In the past he claimed that Olympic gold medal-winning rhythmic gymnast Alina Kabaeva, 38, was the secret wife of the Russian leader.
He said: “This is your genuine circle of relatives and Alina must influence your decisions. “
Putin has two daughters: Maria Vorontsova, 36, a geneticist, and Katerina Tikhonova, 35, a mathematician.
Meanwhile, in reaction to its moves in Ukraine, Russia has been hit with several economic sanctions through powers around the world.
