SEYMOUR, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – A task to transform the Seymour Community School District will better prepare students for high-demand jobs.
The district opened its $6. 55 million technical facility on Friday.
The task will build separate and expanded spaces for the wood, steel and welding categories for workflow and protection. It will also accommodate a housing construction course, a car generation laboratory and a small engine repair area. The task will also protect the site through the conversion of traffic patterns, the creation of contact stages and the expansion of parking.
Pete Kempen, director of advertising for the Seymour Community School District, says the new spaces reflect the amount of work the network needs.
“We started having conversations with the leaders of the network about 3 years ago about what we want for this network and it is resounding that technical education and staff in this field; it is mandatory to expand the trades.
In April 2021, the electorate approved the $6. 55 million referendum.
The assignment is expected to be completed in November this year.
