COVID deaths in Utah remain the highest and ICUs are congested, but instances continue to decline

Vaccination prestige • The health government is not required to disclose the vaccination prestige of other people who test positive, are hospitalized, or have died. They calculate the overall relative risks of these effects based on vaccination prestige, shown below.

Tests reported in the day beyond • A total of 13,992 more people have been evaluated.

Deaths reported on the day • 11.

Four Salt Lake County citizens were killed: one and a man between the ages of 65 and 84 and another and a man over the age of 84.

A Washington County man and woguy, over the age of 84, also died.

Utah County reported two deaths: a man between the ages of 65 and 84 and a man over the age of 84. Two Cache County men died, one between the ages of forty-five and 64 and the other over the age of 84.

A Duchesne County man between the ages of forty-five and 64 also died.

Utahns recently hospitalized with COVID-19 • 634. C 16 fewer than reported Thursday. Of those recently hospitalized, 158 are in intensive care, one more than on Thursday.

Percentage of positive tests • According to the state’s original method, the rate was 32. 4% for the next day. This is below the seven-day average of 32. 8%.

The new approach to the state counts all the results of the controls, adding the repeated controls of the same individual. Thursday’s rate was 12. 8 percent, lower than the seven-day average of 19. 1 percent.

Risk Reports • Over the past 4 weeks, unvaccinated Utahns were 8. 7 times more likely to die from COVID-19 than other vaccinated people, according to a Utah Department of Health study. The other unvaccinated people were also 4. 5 times more likely to die being hospitalized and 2. 4 times more likely to test positive for coronavirus.

Totals to date • 910,900 cases; 4,261 deaths; 32,376 hospitalizations; 9,073,427 administered.
