The Stop Grinch Bot Act would make it illegal to use bots to circumvent the security measures of online pages and acquire products and resell them.

It’s no secret that popular parts, such as new consoles and PC GPUs, have been largely monopolized through aftermarket distributors who buy products in giant quantities. Getting a PS5, Xbox Series X, or NVIDIA RTX 3080 GPU is a cube roll when competing with automated robots on behalf of resellers that will increase value on third-party vendor platforms. However, an organization of American politicians is looking to combat the challenge through a bill called the Stopping Grinch Bot Act.

The Stop Grinch Bot Act was introduced through Rep. Paul Tonko (D-NY) and is supported by Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-CT), Senate Majority Leader Charles E. Schumer (D-NY) and Senator Ben Ray Luján (D-NM). Its purpose is to provide consumers and businesses with a points game box by employing bots to bypass the security of online pages and purchase illegal products. the market beyond simply buying gifts at the end of the year, as PS5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles, as well as other popular products, have been notoriously hard to come by with the year.

According to Tonko, the invoice was drafted to provide a timely playbox in the search for the goods and that everyone is looking for this year.

The Stop Grinch Bots Act was first introduced in 2019, but it acquired a much more enforceable status in 2021, that is, with a semiconductor famine and other points that make materials scarce around the world. Crossed Hands: It might be harder for robots to beat absolutely any and all sales of the PS5, Xbox Series X, and Nintendo Switch consoles, as well as other popular items. It’s a playing field that many would probably embrace fortunately.
