GrowNYC is a 50-year-old environmental nonprofit that helps more than 3 million New Yorkers by offering essential facilities and taking steps to make NYC a better position to live, a city where each and every user can enjoy healthier and more sustainable living. In particular, our network of Greenmarkets, Farmstands, Fresh Food Box and GrowNYC Wholesale ensure that all New Yorkers have access to the most up-to-date and healthy local foods.
Fresh Food Box – Murphy Houses site staff
Fresh Food Box is an organization acquisition program that allows participants to purchase combined stocks of new seasonal products from the farm and collect them at a network distribution point. The program allows consumers to gain economic advantages from buying in an organization and the flexibility of a weekly commitment while supporting farmers. GrowNYC operates Fresh Food Box sites in the Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan and Queens.

Physical requirements
This position requires running outdoors and staying in state for long periods of time, at excessive temperatures and in a potentially noisy environment. New product box site staff deserve to be able to lift heavy appliances and materials up to 50 pounds.
Job details
Hours: Tuesday from 11 to 19 hs. until November 2021.
Compensation: The position is a non-exempt variable and seasonal hourly position, will pay $17 an hour and only includes legal benefits.
