The Technical College of Athens is about to initiate the structure of a $13. 1 million structure for commercial systems technology.
Funding for the facility included in Governor Brian Kemp’s budget for the next fiscal year.
Athens Tech’s new 45,000-square-foot building, scheduled for the final touch until the end of next year, will feature study rooms and laboratories for air conditioning generation, commercial systems generation and mechatronic programs, and will also space out economic progression programs.
“We are excited to have the opportunity to expand our learning area and give academics the opportunity to work out with the industry’s newest apparatus,” Andrea Daniel, president of Athens Technical College, said in a press release. “This would not be possible”. imaginable without the help of Governor Kemp and our local legislators. This is a big step forward in preparing our academics for a variety of on-demand jobs, and will help us expand our commitment to continuing education.
