The of the Royal Welsh Show, hit by cancellation, welcomes campers

The Royal Welsh Show’s headquarters are becoming a camp this summer after the coronavirus pandemic forced the cancellation of the 2021 event.

The Royal Welsh Agricultural Society (RWAS) opens the fairgrounds in Llanelwedd for caravannists and campers from 28 May.

The concept was tested last year when a component of the exhibition park opened as a transit caravan site for 3 weeks in August.

The RWAS markets the site as a site that “offers simple trails and horse-drawn trails with stunning panoramic views. “

He adds: “With the Elan Valley to the north and Brecon Beacons to the south, this ideal location is best for those who need activities in central Wales. “

The initiative will be a component of RWAS’ finances before the return of the Royal Welsh Show in 2022.

RWAS has announced that it will publish its reservation shortly and the camp will run until June 14.

“We looked towards the resumption of tourism here in central Wales and across the UK this summer, and we hope that the hospitality and tourism sector can recover from an era of turbulence in our industries,” RWAS said.

There has been a growing demand for holiday bookings in Wales since the flexibility of Covid-19 restrictions.
