Over the past few weeks, we have published many lists of “the most productive” to summarize the year. Most of these lists clearly revolve around smartphones. If you need to know what we think is the most productive phone of the year, let’s go. But what about our favorite generation of the year that wasn’t a phone?
Here’s what’s on this list. Here you will find a variety of generation products that have other people’s favorites painted here on Android Authority. In a very dark year, it was the bright lights that helped us overcome the chaos.

The only absolute rule for this list is that no phone was allowed. Other than that, all the products were fair. The product doesn’t even want to be introduced in 2020, it just has to be an indispensable generation that we fall in love with more than any other of the year.

Although it is very difficult to get a Nintendo Switch this year, those who were able to buy one were very happy in a recent AA survey, we found that 87% of our readers are at least happy with the ownership of a Switch in 2020.

I bought a used Nintendo Switch just before the pandemic. To say that it helped me succeed over COVID-19 would be to fall short; I spent countless hours at Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Super Mario Odyssey and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. The switch is not perfect. My little-used unit is derived from Joy-Con. After replacing one joystick, I now live it on the other!Aside from hardware issues, this is one of my favorite generation purchases.

On Android Authority we love smartwatches, however, everyone wants to have a smartwatch on their phone, not everyone wants updates on their wrists or a battery life that lasts only a few days at most, plus everyone wants to spend a lot of dollars on their watch.
Adam Molina, of our sister Sound Guys, is satisfied with his G-Shock GA2110ET-8A for all those reasons and more. Here’s what he said about his favorite 2020 technology:
I was never a big G-Shock guy before I saw the G-Shock GA-2100-1A1 all black, known as ‘CasiOak’. I spent months looking to locate one, and then, despite everything controlled, to catch one around. Earlier this year, but as is the case with watches, G-Shock launched another style that I fell in love with: this all-grey GA2110ET-8A. Fortunately, I controlled myself to get one before the rumor came out of his lifestyle. The overall aesthetic is minimal and being one of the thinnest watches that G-Shock has ever published, it seems to me that it is worn very comfortably on my wrist. It’s still a G-Shock, so I don’t want to stay the way I do with the oldest mechanical parts. I look forward to taking him with me on some adventures next year.

For years, I depended on the Roomba 690 iRobot. It was never a high-end style and I had nothing old. I opted for the Ecovacs Deebot T8 after our own Kris Carlon wrote a brilliant review on it for Android. Authority.

What can I say unless Kris was probably right?The Deebot surely destroys the Roomba in almost every metric. It is faster, quieter, more effective and even blank suction. You can tell him to leave a component of space blank and you never want to install physical laser barriers to keep it from falling down the stairs. I love this device and will probably never use iRobot again.

I didn’t think I’d care about dual-screen laptops, but they completely replaced the way I do computers. I’ve been the ZenBook Pro Duo since November 2019, but at this point I can’t see myself turning it off. their peculiarities were given, but I’m hooked.
While Sony’s PlayStation 5 is all we’re talking about this year, it wouldn’t have actually helped get to 2020. Even if you’d been given your hands on launch day, you only had one half to use it.
That’s one of the reasons our app guru, Joe Hindy, chose PlayStation 4 as the favorite generation of the year.
Over the years, I had amassed many PS4 exclusives from sales, but since I’m a social player and an Xbox guy (the Xbox has better social tools, sorry, PlayStation fans!), I rarely found time to sit and play. all the games I had. When the pandemic struck in early 2020, I stayed home promising to play and beat as many of those accumulated PS4 classics as possible. I’ve finished 4 games so far, adding Tales of Zesteria, Tales of Berseria, Final Fantasy VII (the original) and a 170-hour Persona Five game. I enjoyed Persona Five so much that I bought Persona Five Royal to be able to play it. My list still includes Tales of Vesperia and two Ni No Kuni games. , so my PS4 still has a long way to go before I finish my little marathon. Apparently, the pandemic too, so I have plenty of time not to faint.
If you are a big music fan, an intelligent and quality speaker is certainly essential. This not only gives you a simple voice for your home’s smart devices, but it will also allow you to inflate traffic jams and drown out the madness of the world.

With this in mind, it’s no surprise that our social media and search engine optimization expert, Luka Mlinar, has chosen Sonos One (second generation) as his favorite 2020 technology. Sonos speakers are highly valued for their audio quality, ease of use and aesthetic design. . Yes, they’re expensive, but that extra money is valuable.

Speaking of audio, you’d probably be more interested in headphones than smart speakers. Sound Guys senior editor and Android Authority audio editor Lily Katz knows a lot about headphones and used the Shure Aonic 50 as her headphones of choice in 2020.

This is an ANC helmet that is comfortable to wear with goggles. Very smart mic quality, which Shure has taken a step forward with a recent firmware update. ANC is effective, but not so disorienting (something I’ve experienced with other helmets and to which I am susceptible in general).

One of the most important things that will take place in the pc world (and in the generation industry in general) in 2020 is the launch of the Apple M1 chip. Based on the same Arm architecture as iPhones and iPads, the M1 chip represents a seismic replacement for Apple as it moves away from Intel’s dependence.
The revisions of the first computers with M1 chips were generally positive, but still a little varied. Tristan Rayner, who runs our wonderful newsletter, can’t sing his praise enough. Here’s what he said about his favorite generation of 2020:
It’s over. Listen, I enjoyed the new 2020 computers like the Dell XPS 17 and other small computers like the Lenovo Chromebook Duet. They both tried to buy me this year. But then the Apple M1 chipsets blew the doors out of what we expected from computing. Although I don’t want to pay too much for the hardware and I liked being on Windows 10, to my wishes, a MacBook M1 is essentially a no-brainer. By the way, I’d give my next possible options to next-generation game consoles and cloud streaming services. It doesn’t matter which one. The point is, and what they look like, to me it’s the end of the joke with my most casual PC game and that means I don’t want a computer capable of going to the game.

As the world crumbled, I used 2020 to optimize my life. Efficiency has been vital to me, and Stream Deck has proven to be more productive and adapts to many of my desires in terms of accuracy, power and quality of life. fully designed yettons to suit me, with stackable folders to classify all my tasks. All shortcuts I want to edit images in one folder, edit videos in another, etc. Hell, my keyboard has multimedia controls, and yet I’m urgently locazing Stream Deck yettons in place. The Stream Deck is monstrously difficult for, you know, streamers, with OBS, Twitch and other platform integrations, but it’s as effective as a library of code snippets for my coding tasks. how to move from style to 15 yettons in style with 32 yettons.
