MACON, Georgia (41NBC / WMGT) – The Northern Central Health District is converting the hours and procedures of all its COVID-19 sites as of Monday, December 7.
According to an NCHD press release, the thirteen sites will prevent nasopharyngeal collection through nurses; Instead, the sites will use a self-administered nasal swab.
Staff will provide instructions on how to use the swab collected by himself. A public fitness staff member will also monitor personal collection to ensure that tests are performed for viable samples.
NCHD says nasal swab is similar to nasopharyngeal sampling to stumble upon COVID-19, but the nasal swab is more comfortable for those who are checked. using fewer checks with non-public protective devices and reducing the time required to perform the check itself.
NCHD COVID-19 verification is done by appointment only. Anyone who wants to check on those sites, call the check line at 1-844-987-0099 to make an appointment. The check line is open Monday through Friday from 8 a. m. 4:30 p. m.
