BERLIN – A car entered a pedestrian domain tuesday in the town of Trier in southwestern Germany, killing two other people and seriously injuring 15 others, authorities said.
The arrested driving force and the seized vehicle tweeted Trier’s police. Police and rescue groups were on site and the government told others to avoid downtown.
Mayor Wolfram Leibe told SWR that in addition to the two deaths, another 15 people were seriously injured.
The main points on the cause of the turn of destination could not be obtained without delay and the police did not respond to their phones or emails.
Trier is located about two hundred kilometers (120 miles) west of Frankfurt, near the border with Luxemburgo. La city of approximately 110,000 inhabitants is known for its Roman gate, Porta Nigra, which is located near the site of the destination’s turn, and as the birthplace of Karl Marx.
