As you can see in the table above, the most productive flight comparison is Skyscanner, while the most productive way to compare accommodation costs is Tripadvisor. However, no company has achieved a score high enough among recent users to be crowned with Which?Recommended Provider (WRP).
In addition to reviewing those two giant corporations below, we’ve also looked at the worst comparison site, Travelocity, so you can be sure you know exactly why you avoid it when you’re looking for your next vacation.
Skyscanner has the most productive website, the most productive values and the most productive policy on the market, so it is not worth guessing which comparison is the most sensible of our tables this year.

What? Verdict: don’t waste your time.
Using 10 popular flight routes, we competed with seven of the most widely used flight comparison sites to see what the maximum production price was.
Skyscanner discovered the cheapest fare 3 out of 10 times on luton flights to Krakow, Stansted to Bologna and Heathrow to Vancouver, but it is also the most expensive option in a situation we checked: from Edinburgh to Budapest.
Kayak and Cheapflights were the cheapest in one case and the cheapest in two other scenarios, while Tripadvisor discovered the cheapest value twice.
On the other hand, Travel Supermarket discovered the value in 3 of the 10 routes, while Google Flights made it even worse, managing to offer the maximum value in part of the 10 scenarios we verified.
All too often, flight comparison shows what turns out to be a lot, only for the fare to increase inexplicably when you click on the checkout page.
Four of the ten values we discovered at Travel Supermarket, Kayak and Momondo had accumulated during the time we clicked to pay for flights. This has only happened twice with Google Flights, but on one of those occasions, the rate we thought would be up to 209 euros, making it the highest value building discovered.
Again, Tripadvisor and Skyscanner behaved well, and the value only expanded on one of the 10 routes we verified. In the case of Tripadvisor, the value increased by 20 euros, while the value increased to more than four euros for Skyscanner.
Comparison sites, such as Skyscanner, TripAdvisor and Kayak, search the Internet for the most productive room and airfare rates. They can be a wonderful way to find out what you deserve to pay, but the most productive value is only to be obtained by clicking on a booking site.
