WilCo gives loose coronavirus tests in October

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TX – The county will offer loose COVID-19 tests in October, authorities announced Thursday.

The Williamson County Office of Emergency Management, in partnership with the Texas Emergency Management Division (TDEM) and in coordination with the City of Georgetown, will conduct loose COVID-1nine tests from October 7-11 and October 14-16. will be held at Georgetown Community Center, 445 E. Morrow St. in Georgetown, Texas, nine a. m. to 1 p. m. or until stock runs out.

This is a no-appointment site that does not require an appointment before the test. Those interested in taking the test will be invited to park and queue for their turn. It is vital to note that this is a cheek smear test, so others may not eat, drink or use tobacco products 20 minutes before the test. Avoid bringing pets unless you are a service animal. Residents are required to bring a cell phone for on-site registration. Also note that due to demand, there would possibly be a timeout.
