Russia’s Putin and France’s Macron ceasefire in Nagorno-Karabakh

MOSCOW (AP) – Russian President Vladimir Putin and Frenchman Emmanuel Macron have a rapid ceasefire in the clash between Azerbaijan and Armenian ethnic forces in the Nagorno-Karabakh region after a call, the Kremlin said Thursday.

The parties discussed the long-term steps the OSCE organization in Minsk could take to defuse the confrontation in the region and called for a solution to the confrontation by diplomatic means, according to the communiqué.
