GOLETA, Calif. – The COVID-19 check on the loose in Santa Barbara has moved. The check has been replaced from Earl Warren Show Grounds to the Goleta Valley Community Center.
Santa Barbara County public fitness officials said the replacement will not lose service or replace what is available, only the location was 5679 Hollister Avenue in Goleta.
Last week, Santa Barbara County Supervisor Gregg Hart encouraged more people in Santa Barbara County to check for COVID-19. He said a decrease in the positivity check rate will show the state in which the county can move on to the next phase of reopening.

On September 3, the Goleta Valley Community Center replaced the Earl Warren Show Grounds as the COVID-19 loose center on the South Coast.

“The key for us is that we need to inform others that these are loose test sites for the community. But those aren’t the only places for the community,” Clay said.
The COVID-19 verification site in Santa Maria has not moved and is still located on the Fairpark. Si requests a loose check and cannot do so, you are asked to cancel so that someone else can take that place.
