RANDOLPH CENTER, Vermont (AP) – Vermont Technical College is about $8 million to create the first center for education, studies and production progression, authorities said.
The contract for the U.S. Army Industrial Base Maintenance and Analysis Program is a contract for the U.S. Army’s Industrial Base Maintenance and Analysis Program.But it’s not the first time Includes an additional $4 million option.
U.S. Democratic Senator Patrick Leahy said the facility will allow more Vermonters to have the education and skills to adapt to the next generation of production jobs.
“By expanding and strengthening Vermont Tech’s position as a leader in this area, this public-private partnership will open up new career opportunities for Vermont residents and contribute to the bright future of Vermont Tech,” Leahy said in a statement.
The new center, at the Randolph Center, will bring a combination of Vermont students, universities and brands to exercise the next generation of workforce.
The grant comes at a time when Vermont and the country are experiencing a shortage of production capacity and labor.
