The Malatras directive is in line with cuomo’s August 27 directive on mitigation measures that schools will need to take if their infection rate exceeds a safe level.
According to the governor’s guidelines, schools must move to distance education and suspend face-to-face campus activities for two weeks once they reach a hundred sampled instances of COVID-19 or an epidemic corresponding to 5% of the population.
If a school achieves this grade, it is required to return to distance learning with limited campus activity for two weeks while the stage is evaluated through fitness officers.the school may need to continue remote learning or the government would possibly impose additional mitigation measures in consultation with the state’s fitness department.
