California has still surpassed its peak of active infections with COVID-19, according to studies from the Institute of Metrics and Health Assessment published earlier this month.
Although the number of new cases in the United States is gradually declining, more than 30 states have not yet reached their peak for active COVID-19 infections, and a dozen of those states will not peak until December, according to the report.Researchers.
IHME is an independent global fitness research center at the University of Washington that published screenings on August 6 for the total number of active infections and the total number of hospital beds needed for COVID-19 patients.
On Friday, California is one of 31 states that has not yet been successful on its peak date for average infections, but nineteen states have already succeeded.

California is the state with the 15th maximum average number of new cases and the cumulative maximum 23th of cases shown as of August 9, according to an IHME investigation.It also has the 23rd lowest number of coronavirus-related deaths as of August 9.

Estimated date for active infections: November 17, 2020 or later
Estimated date for required hospital beds: December 1, 2020 or later
First case date: January 25, 2020
