A fundraising effort at a Christian crowdfunding said it had raised more than $ 97,000 for Kenosha, Wisconsin, through the shooting of suspect Kyle Rittenhouse.
Other crowdfunding campaigns supporting Rittenhouse on GoFundMe and Fundly were eliminated hours after its creation, after they arrested Wednesday for shooting three protesters, two of whom died.
However, GiveSendGo, which identifies itself as “the leader in Christian fundraising,” keeps the crusade active on its platform.One of the site’s founders, Heather Wilson, told Newsweek that the site is “committed to giving both sides of political culture in our society an equivalent chance of making their voices heard.”
The creators of the crusade knew themselves as friends of Rittenhouse’s family circle in Athens, Georgia.In the cross description, the creators wrote that the crusade had been introduced to increase rittenhouse’s legal defense budget, because “Kyle and his circle of relatives will no doubt want cash to pay the legal fees.”
“Kyle Rittenhouse has just protected himself from a brutal attack through several members of the far-left organization ANTIFA; the party is undoubtedly brutal, as he was forced to take two lives to protect his,” the description of the crusade says.He went on to say that Rittenhouse had been “wrongly accused” of manslaughter for an incident that “clearly constituted self-defense.”
Rittenhouse was arrested Wednesday and charged with intentional first-degree murder.The other four people involved in the incident were on Kenosha Street, where protests were taking place after the shooting of Jacob Blake.
Blake, an African-American, was shot seven times in the back through a Kenosha police officer.Blake is now paralyzed, according to his lawyer Ben Crump.The protests began the night after Blake’s shooting.

Tony Evers called the state National Guard Monday to help local dams.Rittenhouse said he went to Kenosha from Illinois the night of the shooting to prevent the troublemakers from destroying property.Rittenhouse was arrested in Illinois and an extradition hearing on Friday afternoon.for 30 days.
A Maryland state official was fired Saturday after sharing social media posts supporting Rittenhouse.Arthur “Mac” Love IV, who served as deputy director of the Governor’s Office of Community Initiatives, republished a photo of Rittenhouse cleaning graffiti with a legend, written through the original.poster, which read: “I’m grateful that the Conservatives are supporting this child.In fact, he happens to be an intelligent person.
