BERLIN – The 8K Association has introduced a new one with the express aim of educating consumers about the benefits of screens and 8K content, Discover8K.com.
Discover8K.com will provide equipment and news to help consumers notice the 8K ecosystem and the latest advances in screens, cameras and home entertainment.Topics covered will include a list of TVs that meet 8KA functionality standards, data on existing and long-term 8K Content resources, major points such as ideal screen sizes, and seat distances for viewing 8K content, 8K generation scaling, and 8K general news.
“Consumers who perceive the benefits of large, ultra-sharp 8K displays, finely detailed 8K gaming, and the power of immersive 8K video will drive the transition to 8K,” said Aaron Dew, president of the 8KA Marketing Task Force. “That’s why the 8K Association introduced the new Discover8K.com online page for consumers to see all the benefits of enjoying 8K entertainment on the big screen at home.”
In addition, 8KA is an 8K state webinar for industry and media professionals that will provide an update on the progress made in 8K deployments, as well as the remaining milestones, both technical and commercial, needed to complete the deployment.
