Thirty-seven staff members who were in a structure in Thane’s Teen Haath Naka domain tested positive for Covid-19 on Sunday.Staff are being treated at the Covid-19 facility in Bhayanderpada.
Its effects were positive after polymerase chain reaction tests with opposite transcription (RT-PCR) were conducted at 82 at the structure site.
“We had asked all owners and developers of structural sites under the civic organization’s jurisdiction to perform mandatory testing of all its personnel to ensure that there is no spread of the virus.The effects of 37 employees were positive in testing at one of The Structure Site is sealed and the rest of the staff is sent home,” said the city’s deputy commissioner, Sandeep Malvi.
The city of Thane recorded more than 26,000 cases of Covid-19 as of August.
