DC Comics is dragged by distorting the culture “Blerd”: “Words things”

Blerd and Boujee arrive at #DCFanDome ? Here’s a taste of what’s expected at last year’s party: https://t.co/Oszz528pHU pic.twitter.com/S6CFbKQMm3

Since then, this message has been removed from the official DC website, but the screenshots reveal what caused the interference. In the article, the word “Blerd” was explained as “several color enthusiasts from black, Latino and Asian communities who love games, technology, cartoons, comics, videos and television.” As many on Twitter soon noticed, the term was originally coined through black nerds for black nerds. Specifically, it was referenced through Scrubs star and Blerd star Donald Faison in real-life in a 2006 episode of the long-standing comedy that is credited with popularizing the term. In recent years, occasions such as Washington, D.C.-based BlerdCon have focused on celebrating black nerds, while adding other people of color and minority groups. “Data-reactid 31”: Since then, this message has been removed from the official DC website, but the screenshots reveal what caused the interference. From the official blog @DCComics. Who is it for this misinformation? BLERD is a clothes rack for the words BLACK and NERD. pic.twitter.com/Y3kOdGBRxH

Black Nerd “Blerd” @DCComics

@DCComics, too. Blerd means “Black, Latino and Asian”. It only represents black people. https://t.co/73I4BbvEwz

Again, for the other people on the back: BLERD SIGNIFIE BLACK NERD. Words mean things, and cooperating with you this language is lame and discreetly violent.

How is BLERD, which is literally a combination of Black and Nerd? I mean, if you need to be a technician, there are other black people with Asian and Latino backgrounds, but Blerd is NOT a word that encompasses all minorities. Do it better by DCComics https://t.co/sMfVk8306J

Blerd also refers to black nerds, however, blerd’s occasions are open to everyone, especially other people of color. I don’t like the definition of the similar article.

The 2019 party poster, designed through black illustrator Kyle Baker, was also heavily criticized, adding through someone involved in the event.

Issa Blerd? bleRD !!? Blerd and Boujee? ? This provides very strong “we don’t know how to connect with our black audience, but at least we try” it” with the vibrations

Execution is safe but also the idea. It’s a big exploitation. Look at the wording used on the steering wheel. It’s exaggerated and cheesy. DC as an entity has partnered with a Blerd organization, as they are not one and perhaps have a Blerd DJ.

……. I celebrate art until I saw the legend and the name LOL. Wow, I haven’t noticed this Blaxploitation point in a long time.

Blerdgurl, indicated that he had consulted with the organizers of the Blerd-Boujee 2019, but that he had nothing to say on the poster or how DC the word. On Twitter, journalist Karama Horne, who covers the Blerd culture like Blerdgurl, said she had consulted with the organizers of Blerd-Boujee 2019, but that she had nothing to say about the art of posters or how DC the word.

For the record, he didn’t cooperate. DC contacted and worked with several Blerd outlets, adding me, to help create the party at the SDCC last year. We also work with diversity representatives to help with this virtual occasion this year. #DCFanDome

Not for this job. (I probably had nothing to do with it).. But I organize a panel the occasion and several Blerd outlets were part of the live night they had at the SDCC last year.

That’s why I have a call to DC. It doesn’t come from any of us, and it has been. (We would also have shot or created larger illustrations.) I have to prepare my program, but I promise that when I have more information, I’ll come back here with it.

After the social media protests, DC Comics issued a retraction for distorting the word “Blerd” while pronouncing that the virtual revelation would pass as planned. But the mystery of why Cyborg turns out to keep the Carlton unexplained …

The word Blerd was distorted in our previous post. We are proud of artist Kyle Baker’s invitation last year, our 2019 sailing festival and the women who organized it. We are delighted to celebrate the Blerd culture, Blerd-Boujee’s virtual party at DC FanDome on August 22nd.

okay, why does cyborg do the Carlton dance? pic.twitter.com/wX5FriEezu

DC FanDome is unveiled August 22
