SANDMANN’S ATTORNEY ASKS CNN’S BREL STELTER TO BE A “LIAR” AND A DEFAMATION CHALLENGE
Washington and political journalist Elizabeth Drew wrote the article, “Let’s Suppress Presidential Debates,” which claimed that the occasions had become undeclared prank contests. You need to “eliminate them completely” and not because of the continuous coronavirus pandemic.
“Debates have never made sense as a control for presidential leadership. In fact, it can be argued that they praise the exact opposite of what we need in a president. When we are serious about the presidency, we seek intelligence, consideration, knowledge, empathy and, of course, sympathy. It’s also obvious, dignity,” Drew wrote.

“However, the debates play a disproportionate role in the campaigns and weigh more on the verdict than it deserves its true price,” Drew continued. “Over time, the debates resembled professional wrestling, and more substantive debates have circulated widely in the press. Points went to quick and substitute returns. The witty comments provoked laughter and repeated for days and were remembered for years.”
Trump supporters mocked the former vice president for conducting many of his home interviews and rarely answered difficult questions. The recent hypothesis about Biden’s general fitness has led to theories that he is embarrassed in a scenario of debate, while Trump has historically excelled in debates.
Drew stated that his article is not “written out of concern that Donald Trump will triumph over Joe Biden in the debates,” as he noted, “Biden has done very well in a long series of such contests.”
She concluded: “There is no explanation why not launch the presidential debates on the pile of wasteful rituals (at best) that do not make us make such a fateful decision.”

Drew’s editorial came here after former Clinton White House press secretary Joe Lockhart suggested Biden debate Trump ahead of the November election at a recent CNN editorial.
“Whatever you do, don’t debate Trump,” Lockhart wrote on CNN’s website. “Trump has made more than 20,000 misleading or false statements,” according to the Washington Post. It’s a silly race to enter the ring with someone who can’t comply with regulations or the fact. Biden will no doubt take on the warmth of Republicans and the media for skipping debates. But it’s worth the risk, because trying to debate with someone who can’t say the fact is a contest to win. “
Trump’s crusade manager Bill Stepien said Monday that the president will schedule more debates opposed to Biden and earlier.
