Luxury hotels offering cars are reopening conscientiously and now offer infrequent vintage cars

The hotel industry, like most other companies serving the public, was devastated by Covid-19 and closing. Of course, this is bad news for others who like to escape frequently, even if any inconvenience caused by the closure of luxury hotels will have to be compensated with the wisdom of loss of life, overcrowded hospitals and the most serious disorders resulting from the pandemic.

That said, some luxury hotels have been cautiously opened across the country, and those offering high-end cars to visitors have not replaced their plans.

A spokesman for the Limelight Hotel in Aspen said in an email: “The car delights in all our properties. Now we have four Audis in the assets, whereas in the afterlife there were only two.”

The hotel has also expanded the program to offer a pleasure film behind the wheel that began on July 11. “Our drive-in cinema in the Buttermilk parking lot will come with a 40-foot-wide screen and surround sound transmitted to your car via FM radio. We have old videos for the whole family, an environment, wonderful background perspectives and we will stay in your car seat this summer.”

Broadmoor of Colorado Springs also continues to offer Cadillacs to customers, stating: “The existing protocol is in position and the remediation of superior point-of-contact spaces has been added to the inter-use cleaning procedure through customers. A small disinfectant, as well as bottled water, will be provided for the Ride-Drive experience. »

There’s a newcomer to vehicle-offering properties everyone should know about, too. Lake Geneva’s Grand Geneva Resort & Spa, a 1,300 acre, AAA Four-Diamond resort, is now offering guests vintage cars to cruise in at will around their lake, through town or wherever else their fancy takes them.

They have partnered with American Corporate Rental (ACR) to offer consumers this opportunity and the diversity of cars from the 1940s to the 1970s.

The lineup of a 1969 Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow, a 1980 Chevrolet Corvette, a 1965 Shelby Cobra Tribute, a 1968 Pontiac GTO, a 1972 Oldsmobile 442 W-30, a 1965 Ford Mustang and more.

Rental costs start at $299 for four hours of car time at greater Geneva. You must also have custom packages. Drivers must be 25 years of age or older and have a valid driver’s license. Insurance is provided through Haggerty (rather than through the customer, as required by some hotels) and cars must be made for online bookings: just plan, pick up and drive.

For those who don’t want to drive to see the lake and the city, the Great Geneva also offers motorized scooter tours and rentals.

Other car hotels, such as the Beverly Wilshire, a Four Seasons hotel, are closed. “We are looking for an opening on September 14,” a spokesman said today. “When we reopen, we’ll launch our Maserati promotion.”

The St. Regis in Manhattan, which Bentley presented to customers, is closed, with no specific reopening date.
