Tyrese Haspil, 21, arrested at 8:45 a.m. in the lobby at 172 Crosby Street in Manhattan, said Chief of Detectives Rodney Harrison at a brief news convention at 1 Police Plaza.

Haspil controlled Saleh’s “finances and affairs,” Harrison said.

“It’s also an idea that I owed the victim a sum,” he said.

Haspil allegedly attacked Saleh with a Taser at 1:45 p.m. On Monday, when Saleh received an elevator that overlooked his Manhattan apartment, Harrison said.

Police were alerted to the murder after the frame of a Saleh cousin on Tuesday, Harrison said.

I said, “Sir. Saleh’s cousin discovered his dismembered body in the middle of his apartment with his head, arms and amputee legs,” Harrison said.

Harrison stated that he would “interfere with the cause of death” or answer questions, and ended the briefing after only 3 minutes.
