Digital nomads are new winners of the trip, as countries open their doors to tourism

Digital nomads were once a niche in the market, posting enviable photos on Instagram of a luxurious outdoor professional life in an office. Since Covid-19, the number of other people who can paint from anywhere has increased and now “paint tourism” is a much larger market. To stimulate economies, countries like Barbados and Estonia are now attracting these other people by providing paint visas and opportunities for neighboring countries.

After 3 or 4 months of confinement, many other people begin to see the new reality; even if they don’t paint for themselves, many others can now paint from anywhere to do their job.

And now entire countries are opening their doors. The Telegraph reported that Estonia allowed anyone to come and live and paint in the country for up to a year, in addition to 90 days across the Schengen countries.

Candidates will have to prove to earn a smart life; who earn at least $3,988 (3,504 euros) according to the month. They must also be hired or paid through foreign corporations and not connected to a single location.

Prices for an Estonian nomadic visa between $100 and $125 depending on the length of stay and bureaucracy must be presented to the nearest embassy.

Barbados also offers the one-year option of remote paints. Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley, the Telegraph reported, announced a new program to stimulate the economy, encouraging others to gain advantages from the “Barbados Welcome Seal” to stay in the country and paint digitally. The visa allows circular travel, depending, of course, on restrictions at the Covid-19 border.

Although WeWork was excited to be the last unicorn before its fall last year, apart from major metropolitan spaces and their target audience, it’s not a last name. And it’s not yet transparent if WeWork, and other corporations that supply offices to other people without offices, will be the winners of post-pandemic painting life.

Perhaps other people will resort to more nomadic solutions. Coboat, for example, offers sailing trips around the world for the self-employed, where you pay what you can afford. They call themselves “remote paintings for adventurous entrepreneurs.”
