Tickets for the Minnesota State Fair Food Show find it difficult to buy after unforeseen disruptions arise

Those looking forward to the Minnesota State 2020 Fair were disappointed to learn that the occasion had been cancelled this year due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, but the recent addition of a recovery parade behind the wheel has attempted to repair some familiarity. However, tickets for the occasion proved very difficult to obtain.

On Friday morning, vehicle tickets for the parade went on sale at 10 a.m. local time, but soon after, a series of disruptions began to arise in the purchase process.

Once $20 tickets became available, state fair officials showed that the site had experienced incredibly high traffic as others tried to purchase tickets for the occasions august 20-23, September 27-30, and September 3-7. In addition, many others said on social media that they could not access the site, according to CBS Minnesota.

“Our online website and our ticketing service are experiencing an unprecedented volume; in two-and-a-half hours, we reached our capacity of 19,000 vehicle tickets sold for this historic 13-day occasion,” officials at the fair said in a statement. “The ability is limited to provide the occasion in a fun and fun way … and we regret not being able to accommodate more righteous fanatics.”

Those attending the food parade may still be able to find tickets online, however, this may require paying more through a reseller. As reported through the post, resellers have already started promoting tickets on Craigslist for six times the initial charge of $120 each.
