The Atlantic 10 Conference and America East are the last leagues to postpone autumn sports in the spring with a purpose in the spring due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
None of the leagues have football, several schools in those leagues play football at CAA, which is expected to announce the cancellation of their football season. The CAA has already postponed its virtual media day for football.
In the A-10, men’s and women’s football, box hockey, cross country and men’s and women’s volleyball are affected. Autumn festival schedules for men, men and women, swimming and diving for men and women, and women’s rowing will also be postponed, as will non-traditional festival seasons for baseball, softball and women’s lacrosse, the league announced.

America East said it had postponed, cancelled, all fall sports.
“The last few weeks have been undoubtedly difficult to follow in the procedure that led us to this result,” said Albany President Dr. Havidon Rodroguez.
“However, this proactive resolution through our members to postpone fall sports competitions during the first semester is the most productive interest of all student-athletes, athletics departments and university communities in East America. Today, it is imperative that each of our establishments will be able to safely reopen their long-term campus communities, and this resolution supports those efforts. We have maintained that the health, protection and well-being of all in our conference, especially our student-athletes, is paramount. Given the persistence, restrictions and uncertainty associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, it is transparent to us now that this difficult but guilty resolution will have to be taken.
Big East, Big Ten and Pac-12 have announced that they will play convention games in the fall, with the option to cancel all fall sports. The CCA will announce later this month.
