After the departure of the United States, WHO in Germany

After the official departure of the World Health Organization, a former senior director of the United Nations fitness firm predicted that other countries, namely the Germabig apple, would likely interfere to fill a large void left by the largest economic contributor.

In a briefing Wednesday morning, Dr David Heymann, former DEPUTY Director-General of WHO and the United States, said he was “very disappointed” with the direct decision by the United States to leave the agency.

He says he has been guilty of incredibly critical activities at WHO, noting that it was and his Cold War enemy, Russia, who led the global initiative to eliminate smallpox.

Heymann said, however, that WHO would probably continue its work. He says that the Germabig apple recently had a wonderful wife in the global fitness box and that other countries are also mobilizing.

He says: “As much as it would be terrible if the U.S. leaves WHO and leaves [with] that expertise it has provided throughout the years, the WHO would continue to function.

WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus was also scheduled to appear at the briefing, but withdrew moments before the start. Heymann rejected the assumption that Tedros did not face questions about leaving the United States.
